The four-month Cambridge Board Director Programme equips experienced and aspiring board members with the strategic insight, governance expertise and leadership confidence needed for effective board service. Through a blend of in-person modules, live online sessions and real-world case discussions, you will engage with renowned faculty and a global peer group. The focused curriculum will help you sharpen your communication skills, manage risk oversight, analyse finances and lead through change, utlimately preparing you to lead with clarity, purpose and resilience in today’s boardrooms.

This immersive experience will deepen your understanding of boardroom dynamics and emerging governance challenges. It will sharpen your strategic decision-making capabilities and enhance your ability to drive sustainable value creation at the highest level of organisational leadership.

Curriculum

The curriculum will equip you with essential skills and insights to excel in board leadership and drive organisational success. It comprises three comprehensive modules, blending in-person interactions, online sessions and hands-on activities that address key aspects of corporate governance, strategic decision-making and stakeholder management.

Programme calendar

Experience a comprehensive learning journey with two immersive in-person modules and one online module. The highly interactive in-person sessions will be held in Cambridge over a period of five days each. Action plan

During the programme, you will develop a strategic action plan tailored to your organisation's challenges and opportunities.  As part of this plan, you will undertake an individual skills audit to assess your strengths and areas for development. You will then create a personal action plan and road map to outline the steps needed to effectively address these areas. Benefiting from in-person and online sessions, you will create a governance blueprint addressing risk management, stakeholder engagement and long-term strategy. By the end, you will have a practical framework to enhance board effectiveness and drive success.
